Nothing after noon Monday through Thursday.

Nothing at all on Fridays.

That was always what I strove for during my 20 years on active duty.

Because if you couldn't figure it out before noon, that meant you were shitty at planning.

And if you didn't respect Fridays enough to not burden them with meetings, you were shitty as a human.

There were obviously days where I was "shitty at planning", and there were days I was forced to be shitty as a human.

Well...

Shittier.

And I thought I had a pretty decent thing going on with Suze until... lately.

Not sure what the fuck happened on that recent work field trip, but she seems to have come back a different person, and I don't dig it.

First it was the meetings that started getting scheduled at 1400.

Okay, cool (not really). I'll subtract that time from another day.

But then came the meetings scheduled at 1100 on Fridays.

First it was just one friday per pay period, and then another one got added.

To be clear: I've been leaving at 1100 every Friday since not long after I got here.

I worked enough hours, or I had the PTO to cover it.

And now suddenly, I'm required to be here beyond that timeframe.

So.

Very seriously considering adjusting my hours to start acting as a hall monitor.

Not for long.

Just like, a week.

...Maybe two.

See how many people are working a full 80 hours each pay period.

And then royally lose my shit when it turns out we've got folks stealing hours from their work day.
